Scarce multilingual presentation volume showcasing the work of the State Vocational School for the Glass Industry at Železný Brod, one of the principal centres of Bohemian glassmaking and costume-jewellery production. Issued to promote Czechoslovakia’s internationally renowned glass and jewellery industries and the training of designers and craftsmen at the school.

Illustrated throughout with photographic plates depicting glass jewellery, engraved and decorative glass, novelty and articulated glass figures, and student designs. Introductory essays and captions are printed in Czech, French, English, and German. The text includes a survey of the Czechoslovak glass industry, its history, production, and export markets, together with examples of contemporary artistic and technical achievement in glass and jewellery design.
