A landmark publication of the Czechoslovak Werkbund (Svaz československého díla), edited and designed by Ladislav Sutnar. This anthology presents designs for the modern apartment, covering seating, tables, beds, storage, lighting, textiles, and overall arrangement. With contributions by leading Czech architects and Werkbund members, including Karel Honzík, Antonín Heythum, František Zelenka, Ladislav Žák, Antonín Kybal, Miloslav Prokop, Hana Kučerová-Záveská, and Josef Grus, the volume reflects the most advanced functionalist thinking in interwar Czechoslovakia.
