Prag's Festwoche / Prague's Festival Week. Eine Erinnerungschrift an die freudenvolle Anwesenheit Ihrer k. k. Majestäten Franz Josef I. und Elisabeth in Prag [A Commemorative Publication on the Joyful Presence of Their Imperial and Royal Majesties Franz Joseph I and Elisabeth in Prague]. Prague: C. W. Medau'sche Buchdruckerei, 1854.
8vo. 22[1] pp. Original printed wrappers. Text in German. Illustrated throughout with wood-engraved views and commemorative decorations erected in Prague during the imperial visit of Emperor Franz Joseph I and Empress Elisabeth in 1854, including triumphal arches, festival structures of the industrial, brewing, commercial, and textile guilds, and other ephemeral celebratory architecture. Decorative title-page printed in blue and black.
An attractive contemporary souvenir publication documenting one of the earliest official visits of the young imperial couple to Prague. The illustrations preserve numerous temporary structures erected for the festivities, providing a valuable visual record of mid-19th-century urban celebrations, civic pageantry, and imperial representation in Prague.
