Laid in are two publisher’s promotional leaflets. Original cloth-backed decorated wrappers, very good condition, wrappers also VG with only minor shelfwear. Scuff to inner front board where a bookplate was removed. Complete with the original publisher’s slipcase, title printed in black on the spine (lightly rubbed, but overall well-preserved). A richly illustrated ethnographic survey of Swiss regional dress, documenting traditional costumes of Zürich, Schaffhausen, Graubünden, and Ticino. Heierli, a pioneering Swiss ethnographer, presents one of the most important visual records of historical costume in Switzerland. Very good copy in original slipcase.
