La Revue des Folies-Bergère: Folies-Bergère 1926–1927

La Revue des Folies-Bergère: Folies-Bergère 1926–1927 (Album de Luxe) Paris: Éditions Artistiques de Paris, [1926–1927]. 4to. Unpaginated. Lavishly produced revue album documenting the celebrated Folies Bergère productions of the mid-1920s, with a strong focus on Josephine Baker. Illustrated throughout with striking photogravure plates (including tinted and hand-colored examples), depicting stage scenes, costumes, and performers in the extravagant Art Deco spectacles of the Paris music hall. Includes titled plates such as La Folie du Jour, L’Éventail de Plumes, and La Boule de Fleurs, alongside composite costume studies and theatrical tableaux. Period advertisements for earlier Folies-Bergère albums (1923–1925) appear at rear. Original pictorial wrappers worn and creased with some edge loss, spine rubbed; contents generally clean though with occasional handling marks and light creasing. A good, complete copy of a fragile and visually spectacular production. InvHo6
