Bernhard Kellermann – Der Tunnel [The Tunnel]. Dust Jacket by Georg Salter

Kellermann’s enormously successful technological novel, first published in 1913, centers on the immense project of constructing a transatlantic railway tunnel linking Europe and America. This later edition is particularly desirable for its dust jacket by Georg Salter.  Original cloth hardcover in very good condition. Pictorial dust jacket in good condition, with general wear, rubbing, creasing, and several small chips and tears to edges. Extensively reinforced and repaired on the verso with old transparent tape, including along the folds and at the upper and lower edges. Despite the repairs, the scarce jacket remains substantially complete and presents well.
