Běšínský, Václav – Ústřední budova Elektrických podniků hlavního města Prahy [The Central Building of the Prague Municipal Electric Utilities]. Prague: Správní rada Elektrických podniků hlavního města Prahy, 1935. 4to. 102 pp.
Edited and designed by Hugo Melzer. A lavishly illustrated photogravure monograph documenting the new headquarters of Prague's municipal electric utility company, one of the most advanced functionalist buildings erected in interwar Czechoslovakia. Designed by architects Adolf Benš and Josef Kříž, the building combined modern office facilities, retail showrooms, and public amenities with cutting-edge technology, including Carrier air-conditioning and paternoster elevators, the latter still in operation today. Illustrated throughout with architectural photographs, interior views, plans, fold-out technical diagrams, and detailed documentation of the building's electrical, lighting, ventilation, and mechanical systems.
