Catalogue for Toyen's landmark postwar exhibition at Topičův salon (27 November–30 December 1945), presenting 16 oil paintings and 45 drawings executed during the German occupation, including works from the celebrated cycles Střelnice (The Shooting Gallery), Den a noc (Day and Night), Zvířata spí (Animals Sleep), and Schovej se válko (Hide Yourself, War). The exhibition marked Toyen's first major public presentation after the liberation of Czechoslovakia and stands as one of the key documents of Czech Surrealism immediately following the Second World War.
