Limited illustrated edition featuring 30 aquarelles by Schem reproduced in colour and monochrome. This copy is numbered 472 from the ordinary edition of 2,500 copies on vélin. The illustrations, reproduced from original artwork by the master printer Duval and enhanced with stencil colouring by Renson Fils, depict scenes of Parisian demi-monde life in Schem's characteristic witty and sensuous style. Inscribed in pencil in 1947 on front fly, most likely not by the author.
