Issue 24 of Bulkowski’s experimental annual PRO, described here as a “Jahrbuch für aktuelle literarische Tendenzen” (Yearbook for Current Literary Tendencies). The issue continues RE'UN'ANZ, the collaborative “open sign system” begun in PRO 23 by Bulkowski and Landfried Schröpfer, here expanded with new work and additional participants Wolfgang Schmidt and Werner Wenz.The contents combine experimental writing, systems of signs, diagrams and visual-conceptual material. Contributions to RE'UN'ANZ include Wolfgang Schmidt’s Lebenszeichen, Landfried Schröpfer’s Die Scheidungen der Augusta Bolte, Werner Wenz’s Steinmetzzeichen, Bulkowski’s Schreibvorgang, a Krimi-Partitur by Claus Böhmler, and a Satz über Informationsproduktion by A. R. Penck. The issue acknowledges guest contributions by Böhmler and Penck. The outer wrapper was designed by Wolfgang Feelisch and Luiz A. F. Gomes.Bulkowski’s PRO publications formed part of the overlapping experimental-literature, Fluxus and intermedia networks of the period, combining literary production with conceptual, visual and communication-based practices.
