First volume only (“Letter A”) of Hamburger’s projected encyclopedic digest of aggadic literature from the Talmud and Midrashim. Includes half-title and index leaf at rear. Contemporary ownership inscription on title. Binding worn, with the lower fifth of the spine lacking and corners rubbed; internally with scattered foxing and damp-spotting, occasionally heavier, but generally sound. A good, unsophisticated copy in its original binding.
