The second 1939 issue of Škoda Mitteilungen, the in-house technical journal of the Škoda Works, issued shortly before the German occupation of Czechoslovakia. Intended for engineers, industrial customers, and technical specialists, the journal presents current research and developments from one of Europe's foremost engineering firms. Text is in German, with substantial trilingual (German, French, and English) introductory summaries to the principal technical articles.

Contents include a detailed study of the testing and calculation of steam turbine efficiency by Dr. Ing. G. Zalf, describing Škoda's experimental turbine laboratories and methods for optimizing blade profiles; an illustrated article on X-ray analysis of grain structure in steel by Dr. Adele Kochanovská and Dr. Jaromír Brož; and a survey of the latest Škoda products highlighting streamlined passenger cars, diesel engines, heavy trucks, and the newly introduced aerodynamic long-distance coach.
