An early Lithuanian-American edition bringing together two of Marx’s principal writings on nineteenth-century France: The Eighteenth Brumaire of Louis Bonaparte and The Civil War in France. The volume also includes introductory material and related texts, including Engels’s prefaces and Marx’s addresses and manifesto concerning the Franco-Prussian War and the Paris Commune. Published in Brooklyn by the Lithuanian socialist press Laisvė for the American Lithuanian Workers’ Literary Society, reflecting the substantial radical and socialist publishing activity of the Lithuanian immigrant community in the United States during the early twentieth century.

Some rubbing to spine ends and corners, with light wear to cloth; tight binding, internally clean and well preserved. Very good.
