A scarce Polish-language biography of George Washington, written by Tomasz Kozak and published by the noted Polish-American publisher Antoni A. Paryski in Toledo, Ohio, one of the principal centers of the Polish immigrant press in the United States. Intended for the Polish diaspora, the work presents Washington as the "Father of His Country" and recounts his life, military leadership during the American Revolution, and presidency in an accessible format for immigrant readers.

Antoni A. Paryski (1869–1935) was one of the most influential Polish-American publishers. He established the Ameryka-Echo newspaper in Toledo in 1889, which became one of the largest Polish-language newspapers in the United States, with a circulation exceeding 100,000 at its peak. Besides the newspaper, Paryski issued hundreds of inexpensive books and pamphlets (biographies, novels, practical manuals, religious works, and American history) aimed at helping Polish immigrants become informed American citizens while preserving their language.
