mounted samples of finely embossed and pierced white paper lace, each accompanied by a printed product label and catalogue number.
An attractive manufacturer’s trade catalogue presenting elaborate paper-lace overlays intended for decorating confectionery boxes, cigar boxes, and related luxury packaging. The samples encompass circular, oval, square, and rectangular designs, with floral, geometric, lattice, and imitation-lace patterns. Labels identify several papers as Flor Seidenpapier and Postpapier. A remarkable survival of late nineteenth- or early twentieth-century German paper manufacture and commercial packaging design. VG condition.
