1930s Priessnitzovo Sanatorium catalogue
Priessnitzovo Sanatorium [Priessnitz Sanatorium]. Gräfenberk–Frývaldov (Jeseník): Priessnitzovo Sanatorium, ca. 1930s. 14 × 20 cm oblong. Staple-bound pictorial wrappers. 6 pp. text and 21 photogravure plates.Railway-access map.
Promotional photogravure brochure for the renowned hydrotherapeutic sanatorium founded on the traditions of the nineteenth-century healer Vincenz Priessnitz in Gräfenberg (today Jeseník). The publication illustrates patient rooms, dining halls, treatment facilities, terraces, and representative interiors, documenting the institution's combination of modern medical care and mountain-climate convalescence. The text emphasizes the sanatorium's treatment of internal and nervous disorders under the direction of Dr. Josef Reinbold and Dr. Otto Kattinger, while the plates provide an unusually extensive visual record of an interwar Central European health resort.
Good condition. Wrappers soiled and creased, with occasional staining and edge wear; a serviceable copy.
