A luxurious Belle Époque promotional album issued by the Grand Hôtel Pupp, the premier hotel of the renowned Bohemian spa resort of Carlsbad. The French text describes the hotel's state-of-the-art amenities, including electric lighting, lifts, elegant salons, restaurants, cafés, music rooms, extensive gardens, and bathing facilities, while promoting Carlsbad as one of Europe's foremost health resorts.
Illustrated with 23 finely printed collotype plates depicting the hotel's imposing exterior, richly furnished public rooms, dining halls, kitchens, verandas, gardens, and behind-the-scenes service areas. The volume concludes with a large folding architectural plan showing the complete layout of the hotel complex, including its principal buildings and floor plans of the guest-room wings on multiple levels.
