An important Czech interwar art annual, richly illustrated throughout and bringing together contributions on contemporary Czech and international art, architecture, and design. Contributors and subjects include František Bílek, Karel Boháček, Pieter Brueghel the Elder, V. H. Brunner, Giovanni Cariani, Ferdiš Duša, František Tichý, Štefan Osuský, Jaroslav Voštrý, Frank Wollman, Charles Vildrac, and others. The volume includes numerous reproductions of works by contemporary artists as well as discussions of architecture and the visual arts. The content also includes stage designs and paintings by Ladislav Sutnar.

Particularly notable for its striking modernist wrapper design by Ladislav Sutnar, combining bold typography, geometric elements, and a reproduced painting in a characteristically dynamic composition.

Very good condition, with 1-cm tears at the head and foot of the spine; otherwise a well-preserved copy.
