1947 Jiří Kolář Three Poems Lhoták

Kolář, Jiří. Tři básně. [Three Poems]. Prague, 1947 (but “PF ’48”) Small 8vo (17.5 × 12.5 cm). 31 pp. Original cream wrappers with etching by Kamil Lhoták on the front cover. Inscribed by Kolář on the title-page “PF ’48.” A rare private printing, produced on the eve of the Communist coup, when Kolář’s work was already facing censorship. The booklet brings together three poems—Jediný z R., Každý den před čtvrtou, and Matka a syn—and stands as a fragile artifact of the Skupina 42 circle, linking poet Jiří Kolář and painter-printmaker Kamil Lhoták in a shared post-war vision of modern life and quiet humanism. The “PF ’48” inscription suggests the booklet was issued at the turn of 1947–48 as a New Year’s greeting for friends. INV vyklad
