A finely produced wartime bibliophile edition of traditional Czech devotional songs concerning the Four Last Things—Death, Judgment, Heaven, and Hell. The text was arranged and provided with a literary-historical commentary by Dr. Josef Vašica. The volume is illustrated throughout with fourteen original woodcuts by Josef Váchal. Typography by Oldřich Menhart; the text was printed by Müller & Co. in Turnov in Menhart’s Bodoni type.

Issued in a signed and numbered edition of only 200 copies, this being no. 11. Signed by Váchal on the limitation page.
