Four original printed wrappers, extensively illustrated throughout with examples of contemporary graphic design, posters, typography, book design, visual education, applied arts, and student work. Complete annual run of this influential Czech journal devoted to art education and applied design, featuring modernist typographic and cover design by Zdeněk Rossmann. Notable for its documentation of Czech graphic design and visual culture during the Protectorate period, including reproductions of posters, advertising graphics, exhibition design, book production, textile patterns, and pedagogical exercises.Issue 1 includes a substantial illustrated section on colour theory, with numerous colour plates, diagrams of complementary and warm/cool colour relationships, colour wheels, and exercises in colour harmony and contrast. The volume also contains examples of contemporary commercial graphics, exhibition design, and educational materials. VG condition. All four issues in very good condition, clean and sound. Issues 3 and 4 bear the ownership stamp of the former Redemptorist Juvenate in Libějovice (Juvernát Redemptoristů v Libějovicích), a now-defunct educational institution; otherwise internally clean. An attractive and uncommon complete wartime annual run.
